OUR

HISTORY

El Morfi Grill was founded in 1991 by brothers, Rene and Jorge Vildoza (1947- 2018).

Jorge was in charge of the kitchen, making sure that all the dishes had the original argentine flavors and Rene has always been in charge of making our customers feel welcome.

First styled as an eatery, El Morfi opened at the corner of California and Orange and moved to its Brand Boulevard location in 1997. The location is unique, our brick walls, skylights and tango music in the background make you feel like you´re in Buenos Aires.

Our flavors are consistent thanks to our cooks, who had been part of El Morfi since 1991.

Thinking about “el morfi” is to think about all the traditional argentine dishes as fugazetta, empanadas, parrillada, locro, puchero, guiso de lentejas, ñoquis, morcilla, provoletta, chinchulines, matambre, milanesa, choripan, fresh pasta and our house special desserts: flan with dulce de leche y panqueques.

Service is foremost at El Morfi. We strive to make your meal a pleasant dining experience. Special requests are honored when possible. Our goal is to serve you “as you like it!”

Tango dancers and singers in Argentina developed the expression “El Morfi” to describe a complete and perfect repast. The right food, the right beverages and the right environment and ambiance to enjoy them in. That perfect combination is “El Morfi” and we seek to create that experience for you
